Westview Acres Care Center's philosophy finds us committed to the idea of caring for and treating the "Whole Person," recognizing not only the physical needs, but also the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of our residents.
Westview Acres Care Center is dedicated to the "Service of Caring." Our residents can be served on a long-term, short-term, or respite basis. Personalized service and around-the-clock supervised care is provided by a staff dedicated to a tradition of excellence.

Westview Acres Care Center is a Skilled Nursing Facility fully licensed by the State of Iowa and certified under the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Westview Acres also has a special care unit, certified by the State of Iowa, for those with chronic confusion and dementia illness (Alzheimer's and related dementias).
Westview Acres was established in 1966 by concerned Leon citizens who identified a need in our community to serve those citizen's with long-term illnesses and continuing nursing care needs. Today, Westview Acres has continued with that same hometown tradition by being locally owned and operated. We feel it is our privilege to be the caretakers for our friends, neighbors, and families members.
Westview Acres Care Center is a 76-bed skilled nursing facility staffed with professional nurses, certified medication and nurse aides, an activities/recreational department, a dietary staff trained to meet the special dietary needs of our residents, laundry personnel, housekeeping personnel, on site maintenance services, a social worker, and an in-house business office.
Our building is well kept, bright, and cheerful, with private and semi-private resident rooms, complete with a nurse call system.
Our resident rooms are furnished with hospital-style adjustable beds, a chair, and lamp. Closets or wardrobes and vanity drawers provide space for personal clothing and possessions.
Residents are encouraged to bring personal items such as pictures and memorabilia to personalize their rooms and feel more at home. While we realize this is not their home, our goal is create a comfortable home-like environment for our residents that provides a feeling of security and familiarity. Cable TV and telephone services are available at additional expense.
Daily housekeeping and laundry services are provided in our room rates, as is general maintenance.
Beauty care needs are met by our contracted licensed beautician and barber.
Large, spacious dining rooms provide a comfortable place to socialize and dine. Delicious, appetizing meals are prepared to meet the nutritional and special dietary needs of our residents.
